I am the laziest person alive...

Use white a the light, or a light colors (that would even be better) and then out that color on the image anywhere where needed, and then creat a new layer above that layer, setting it from "normal" to "Screen" then go crazy go nuts with the lighting, by using colors that reflect on what you want to occomplish.
